Phoenix of Botswana Assurance (“Phoenix” or “we” or “us”) is a pan-African insurance company. Phoenix collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

We are committed to promoting transparency, trust, and accountability in all our suppliers and service providers data practices. This notice also outlines your rights, how you can exercise them, and how to contact us if you have questions or concerns about your personal data.

Retention Period

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil its intended purposes, unless legal, regulatory, or reporting requirements necessitate longer retention. Once personal data is no longer needed, it will be deleted or securely destroyed.

Transborder Data Transfers

There will be transfer of personal data outside Botswana. Where personal data is  transferred to our Group office in Kenya, our basis is adequacy. Otherwise we will rely on appropriate safeguards and/or derogations.
